Devotional<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I see how capable you\u2019ve become.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You learned early not to ask for too much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not to need too loudly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not to depend fully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That wasn\u2019t rebellion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That was wisdom for the environment you were in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Self-reliance kept you alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awareness kept you safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Independence protected your heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am not disappointed in the ways you survived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I honor them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But survival is not the same as rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You don\u2019t have to stop being strong for Me to love you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And you don\u2019t have to stay strong forever to remain safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am not threatened by your independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am patient with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you are ready\u2014even just a little\u2014I will meet you there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not to take your strength away, but to give you somewhere safe to set it down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
