Day 4 — You Don’t Have to Earn Staying
Devotional
Somewhere along the way, you learned this rule:
Love lasts only if I perform.
So you became helpful.
Or successful.
Or agreeable.
Or invisible.
Hear Me clearly now.
I do not stay because you do well.
I stay because I choose you.
You cannot impress Me into remaining.
And you cannot disappoint Me into leaving.
I do not withdraw when you struggle.
I do not pull away when you rest.
Belonging was never something you earned.
It was something I gave.
You don’t have to audition here.
You don’t have to prove your value.
Today, just notice this question—no pressure to answer it:
What would it feel like to stop trying to earn what has already been given?
